Polyphonic Toad Precession
Biography
The Polyphonic Toad Precession is a progressive rock project blending atmospheric piano, mythic storytelling, and classic rock textures. Drawing from influences across various eras of progressive rock, cinematic composition, and electronic sound design, the project uses rich symbolism and storytelling to explore themes of transformation, adversity, betrayal, seduction, transcendence, and inner peace. At the core of Polyphonic Toad Precession’s sound is expressive piano performance layered with expansive arrangements — from intimate solo passages to rhythm-driven sections featuring distorted guitars, dynamic percussion, and haunting vocal tapestries. Live performances highlight the project’s musical foundation, presenting both original compositions and reinterpretations of classic material through a richly textured piano style. The result is a performance that moves fluidly between contemplative minimalism and powerful, cinematic intensity. Polyphonic Toad Precession is currently developing new recordings while performing select live sets and collaborative projects.
